Community Involvement

How ProtoTest Gives Back

At ProtoTest, we are grateful for the opportunity to live and work in the Colorado Front Range community. One way we express that gratitude is by supporting local charitable organizations and volunteering our time to local nonprofit organizations.

FIRST Robotics

ProtoTest supported the 2009 regional competition at the University of Denver by being a (minor) sponsor of the team from John F. Kennedy High School. The Kennedy team is coached by Paul Jasinowski (aka Coach Jazz), who is a wonderful teacher and is clearly dedicated to the lifelong success of his students.

Post-News Season to Share

This organization provides grants to Denver-area, nonprofit agencies serving children, as well as those who are hungry, homeless, or in need of medical care. ProtoTest was a Bronze Donor to the “Seasons to Share, Companies That Care” campaign in 2007 and again in 2008.

Women's Bean Project

Since 1989, this organization has been helping women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. They are a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for entry-level jobs through employment in their gourmet food production business. In 2008, ProtoTest delivered holiday gift baskets to clients that were made by the Women's Bean Project.

CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association

ProtoTest is extremely involved in this organization and our founder, Pete Dignan, serves on the board.

SquAD, Software Quality Association of Denver

ProtoTest fully supports the (SquAD) organization, and believes it plays an important role in the local community of software testing professionals. Bev Berry, our VP of Business Development, is currently on the board. Many of our employees have served on the board, and volunteer their time for events or as guest speakers.

International Charitable Giving

KIVA

Kiva empowers individuals to provide microloans to entrepreneurs across the globe. By combining microfinance with the Internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending. In 2009, ProtoTest helped their cause by giving donation gift certificates to many of our clients, enabling them to lend via the Kiva organization.
